Enabling two-factor authentication on WPS Cloud is a critical measure to safeguard your files and prevent unauthorized logins.
Before proceeding, ensure you’re signed in to WPS Cloud through the official platform using your email and password.
Once you are logged in, navigate to the account settings section.
Your account configuration panel can be accessed through the profile menu — simply select Security or Account Settings to continue.
Navigate to the authentication settings where you’ll see an option for enabling 2FA or Multi-Factor Authentication.
Click on Enable or Set Up to start the configuration.
You will be prompted to choose your preferred method of receiving the second authentication code.
For maximum security, we strongly advise using a dedicated authenticator app like Authy, Google Authenticator, or Microsoft Authenticator.
Such applications produce dynamic codes that update every 30 seconds without needing cellular data or text messages, greatly improving protection.
A unique QR code will be shown — this is your key to linking your account with the authenticator app.
Launch your authenticator application on your mobile device, select “Add Account” or “Scan Barcode,” and point your camera at the QR code on screen.
A temporary 6-digit code will appear in the app — this code is tied directly to your wps office下载 Cloud login.
Paste the six-digit number from your authenticator app into the confirmation field and click Verify to finalize the process.
Do not skip saving the emergency access codes generated during setup.
Each backup code works only once and serves as a lifeline if your phone is lost, stolen, or the app is uninstalled.
Save copies in a safe physical place like a safe or sealed envelope, or store them in a password-protected encrypted file.
Avoid keeping backup codes in note apps, email drafts, or cloud folders linked to your account.
Once the authenticator app is linked and verified, multi factor authentication will be active for your WPS Cloud account.
Whenever signing in from an unrecognized device or browser, you’ll need to provide the current 6-digit code from your authenticator app after typing your password.
For convenience, you can choose to trust this device for 30 days, skipping 2FA on future logins from the same machine.
If SMS verification is available, disable it immediately to reduce vulnerability.
SIM swapping allows criminals to receive your SMS codes — authenticator apps eliminate this risk entirely.
Lock your device with a complex PIN, biometric authentication, or pattern to safeguard your authentication tokens.
Regularly check the list of logged-in devices and active sessions under Security Settings.
If you notice any unfamiliar devices or locations, immediately log out of those sessions and consider changing your password.
Always install the latest versions of your authenticator app and OS to close known vulnerabilities.
This simple step dramatically lowers the chance that your personal or business files will be compromised.
